Are you a European guest student at Bielefeld University? Would you like to get to know Bielefeld outside the university and introduce your home country to others? Then join us at Europa macht Schule!

We would like to invite you to present your home country and your culture in a project with a school class. This gives you the special opportunity to introduce your country to School Pupils from Bielefeld and to work with them on a cultural or political topic - you can find an example here. You will be supported by an educational sciences seminar. In this way you will receive 3 LP for Europa macht Schule.

Are you interested and would you like to participate? Then send us an email to bised-internationalisierung@uni-bielefeld.de. We are looking forward to you and your ideas!

About the program

The Europa macht Schule program promotes European exchange and promotes tolerance and solidarity. Visiting students from various European countries carry out projects at schools in the region. The Location Bielefeld has been participating in Europa macht Schule since 2009.

Working in tandem or in teams with German pupils, the international students develop a project on their home country or on a European topic and implement it in three to five lessons at a school in Bielefeld and the surrounding area. Pupils can choose from schools of different types.

The program is accompanied by an educational sciences seminar of the BiSEd: The seminar supports students in planning, implementing and evaluating their projects in a theory-based manner.
