Bielefelder Lehrer*innenbildung
In addition to many positive experiences during the practical semester with preparatory training, there are also situations that pose challenges: the feeling of not being welcome at school, confrontation with teacher role models that do not correspond to one's own, too little support when difficulties arise, the feeling of being misunderstood, the fear of addressing problems or the failure to meet one's own expectations.
The workshop is intended to give students a better insight into the institution of school: organizational circumstances are to be examined more closely and the perspective of the supervisors is to be made clear to the students.
The workshop is also intended to help students to question their own expectations by means of a reflective attitude and to view them from different perspectives. The focus is on self-reflection methods and communication strategies that can make it easier for students to formulate and communicate their own interests. Further topics are conflict resolution strategies, role theories and subjective theories, which are taught through practical tutorials (in connection with lecture/seminar).
The aim is for students to start their practical semester with preparatory training in a stronger position so that they can make the best possible use of this school experience for themselves and their professionalization.
For students who are currently completing their practical semester with preparatory training or have completed it in the near future, the workshop offers an opportunity to reflect on their experiences and possibly develop new options for action for further practical semesters or the second phase of training.
