B.A. degree in Philosophy

The degree programme is tailored to the needs of beginners and offers sufficient individuality, freedom of choice, diversity and a high degree of internationality. If you are interested in continuing your studies in Philosophy, then the Master of Arts in Philosophy is suitable for you. In this degree programme you can expand your knowledge from the Bachelor and specialise. The degree programme is distinguished by a high level of personal supervision, special Master's courses, research proximity and a high degree of internationality, among other things.

Philosophy can not only be studied in a subject-specific way. If you are interested in a teaching degree and philosophy, you can combine both passions in this degree programme.In a Bachelor's and Master's degree programme, you will learn all the important knowledge and skills to be able to successfully teach philosophy at Gymnasien, Gesamtschulen, Realschulen or Hauptschulen. The study programme starts with a Bachelor of Arts, which is followed by a consecutive Master of Education.

If you have a passion for interdisciplinary work, the four-semester master's programme Interdisciplinary Studies of Science (ISoS) is an interesting option. It combines the fields of history of science, economics, philosophy and sociology, focuses on science-reflective studies and aims to elaborate and make explicit the essential characteristics of science.
