The Interactive Robotics in Medicine and Care research group headed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Anna-Lisa Vollmer is part of the Medical School OWL at Bielefeld University. Our work lies at the interface of social robotics, cognitive sciences and machine learning, applied to assistance needs in medicine and care.
People with individual needs and wants should be able to teach robots how to best assist them.
To do this, we use leading-edge hardware and methods from AI and robotics to enable learning in interaction with humans, but also to study interaction and better understand the social cognition of humans.
The successful implementation of intelligent technical systems in practice is another focus of research for the working group.
Building R1 is highlighted on the site map in the picture. If required, you can enlarge the image by clicking on it. The easiest way to reach the working group's premises is via the main entrance on Morgenbreede.
After entering the building, turn left in the entrance hall and follow the corridor to the next staircase. The floors there are labelled A0 to A3. Go to the top floor. The corresponding corridor (A3) is located on the right-hand side.
In this area you will find, among other things, the office of Prof Dr Anna-Lisa Vollmer.
🏫 9 participating faculties
