Building R1 is highlighted on the campus plan in the picture. The picture can be enlarged by clicking on it if necessary. The easiest way to reach the premises of the workgroup is to take the main entrance at Morgenbreede into building R1. In the entrance hall the way leads further through the corridor on the left to the next staircase. In the stairwell, the individual floors are marked by labels A0 to A3. The A3 corridor is located on the highest floor in the A corridor on the right side. Here you will find, among other things, the office of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Anna-Lisa Vollmer.

AI*IM (Artificial Intelligence*Inclusive Medicine) is a focus area at Bielefeld University and brings together researchers from nine faculties with a common goal: to sustainably improve the health, participation and self-determination of people with cognitive impairments through inclusive assistance technology and artificial intelligence. The focus area combines medical expertise with cutting-edge technological research and social responsibility. Researchers from the fields of medicine, technology, linguistics & literary studies, health sciences, Educational Science, Psychology, Philosophy and Sociology work closely together with self-advocates of people with cognitive impairments. AI*IM thus creates a unique research environment in which technological innovation and social inclusion go hand in hand. Our working group is also partly involved in the focus area, for example our team leader Prof Dr Anna-Lisa Vollmer is one of the AI*IM spokespersons. Find out more about AI*IM here!
