Management Science & Business Analytics
The department focuses on the analysis and optimization of decisions and decision making processes in an economic context, involving two main areas of emphasis.
The first area is management science, which involves the development and application of mathematical models, simulations, algorithms, and other quantitative methods to support and understand decisions and decision making processes in organizations and businesses.
The second area is business analytics, which involves the use of empirical studies to better understand business processes, decision making, and customers; development and application of methods for prediction and data analysis as well as the use of these methods for decision support and analyzing decision making.
