Anika Haverig is a sociologist with long experience in research management. After completing her studies in social sciences, mathematics and educational sciences in Bielefeld, she focused on sociology in her postgraduate phase - during her MA at the University of Canterbury (NZ) and her doctoral studies at the University of Kent (UK). Subsequently, she maintained close ties to academia working as part of the international team of the Volkswagen Foundation's funding department. Before joining the ZiF in April 2021, she was responsible for setting up the "Research and Fellow Management" at THE NEW INSTITUTE in Hamburg.
