Generation of Flanking Sequence Tags (FSTs) from T-DNA mutagenised Arabidopsis thaliana plants (accession Columbia).
GABI-Kat aims at generating at least 80.000 T-DNA transformed lines. DNA from T1 plants and seeds of single lines (T2 seeds from T1 plants) are harvested, and flanking sequence tags (FSTs) are produced from the insertion sites. SimpleSearch is the web interface that allows to search our database for insertions in "my favourite gene". We distribute seeds (usually T2) only for confirmed insertion lines.
