Why should you play a part in the academic mid-level?

  • Use your say and express your opinion as an employee!
  • Get in touch with colleagues and exchange ideas in our regular meetings in a relaxed atmosphere, enjoying a coffee, cookies and cake!
  • Be up-to-date what's going on in the Faculty!
  • Be inspired by our new format of "impulse talks" addressing matters such as research, teaching and self-management!
  • Get to know the internal administrative structures of a university!
  • Take responsibility and represent us at board meetings! That is, if you like to do this ;-)

Our academic mid-level consists of all the non-professorial academic staff of the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics. Everybody is welcome, no matter if they have a permanent, qualification or third-party funded position as well as teaching staff with special responsibilities.

We represent the interests of all non-professorial academic employees of our faculty by means of:

  • our representatives with voting power in the faculty's board meetings and committees (e.g., examination boards, hiring committees, equality committees) within our faculty and university-wide,
  • our participation at the university's faculty overarching academic mid-level council,
  • discussions of news from the faculty and the university, including matters of general interest and the preparation of events that are relevant for the mid-level within our regular mid-level meetings.

The academic mid-level of our faculty has two representatives that function as first points of contact, organize ourselves as a group and have voting power in the faculty's board meetings.

All non-professorial academic staff at our faculty is warmly invited to attend our mid-level meetings. A broad interest and participation in our meetings are beneficial, as important information can extensively be shared and discussed. In addition, there often are "impulse talks" covering interesting topics about research, teaching and self-management.

Our meetings in the winter term 2025/2026 take place on the following dates, starting at 10:30 in U3-140, if not stated otherwise:

  • 8.10.2025 (14:00)
  • 19.11.2025
  • 10.12.2025
  • 14.01.2026
  • 04.02.2026
