Meme Contest 2026 – Theme: “AI”
About the Competition
AI has become an integral part of everyday university life. What does AI mean to you? How does it influence your studies, and how does it shape our society?
Show us your perspective on “AI” by creating a meme—funny, clever, or simply creative—and send it in!
All submissions will be displayed on campus, and the best memes will receive awards.
Why participate?
- Be creative and express academic topics in a new way.
- See your own memes exhibited on campus.
Prizes and Awards
- Audience award: The work with the most votes from the exhibition audience.
- Jury prize: Special award given by the lecturers of the Media Sociology Department.
What can you win? A surprise prize and a €20 book voucher.
Eligibility
- Open to all members of Bielefeld University.
- Multiple submissions per person are allowed.
- The Media Sociology Department reserves the right to exclude submissions from the competition or exhibition.
Submisision Requirements
- Entries must relate to the theme of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- It must be an original and previously unpublished meme.
- File format: .jpg or .png

Please send your work as an attachment to hk.greschke@uni-bielefeld.de and include the following information:
- Your full name or pseudonym (if anonymous publication is desired)
Schedule
- March 31, 2026: Submission deadline
- April: Exhibition and voting on campus
- July: Announcement of results and award ceremony
