Renovation
After almost 60 years, the apartments at ZiF Campus are being renovated and modernised. There will be structural alterations in regard to size and number of apartments, insulations, but also changes in the subsequrnt refurbishment of the rooms.
On this page you can find all information about the consequences of the renovation. It will impact our capacity to accommodate research group, hence it will also change the timeline of our Call for Proposals. There will most likely be noise pollution at some of our conference/working spaces.
Applying, living, working at ZiF during the renovation
Current Call for Proposals
Since we have limited capacities, there will be less frequent Calls for Proposals for the time of the renovation.
The current possibilities to apply for funding at ZiF are:

Working
There will most likely be noise pollution, especially in the conference spaces facing the apartments. The least impacted conference room will be Plenary Hall which will be assigned to groups for events as often as possible.
YXZ
Living
We will only have half of our usual number of apartments available from the summer of 2027 until the summer of 2028. Consequently, there will be events and occasions where guests cannot stay at ZiF campus and have to be accommodated in other apartments or hotels.
