Sociology of Media
The research and teaching unit Media Sociology offers teaching in the BA, MA, and PhD programs of the Faculty of Sociology. In addition, it participates in the MA program Interdisciplinary Media Studies, which is jointly supported by the Faculties of Sociology, Linguistics and Literature, Educational Science and the Faculty of Technology.
Current research topics of the department include audience research and audience measurement, new media and human-machine communication, media socialization and e-participation.
