Award Winners

Award Ceremony 2019

At the debut event of the Franz Xaver Kaufmann Prize on 13 November 2019, Dr Andrea Kretschmann (Centre Marc Bloch Berlin) and Dr Aaron Sahr (Hamburg Institute for Social Research) were honoured for their academic achievements in recent years.

Andrea Kretschmann's career and work were highlighted by Prof. Dr. Alfons Bora (University of Bielefeld) in his laudation, while Prof. Dr. phil. Klaus Kraemer (University of Graz) paid tribute to Aaron Sahr's work in his speech. Both laudators referred to the impressive dissertations of the award winners, which met with lively feedback in the scientific community. Both Alfons Bora and Klaus Kraemer were confident about the potential of two further successful career paths.
