No access or forgotten password?
Are you an employee at Bielefeld University with a work contract?
In order to register for the employee portal, you will need the BITS user name (without @uni-bielefeld.de) and the web password. As a rule, this is the password which is also valid for the PRISMA portal. This password is used, for example, to register with Sciebo. You can change your password needed for web authentication via the PRISMA portal. Outside the campus no VPN access is required, the password is all that is needed to log in.
Usually the username is made up of the first letter of the first name followed by the last name. For Max Mustermann, the user name would therefore be mmustermann.
If you are sure that the login credentials you entered are correct and still cannot log in, please delete the cookies for the site www.uni-bielefeld.de. Here you can find instructions for Firefox and Microsoft Edge.
If you are unable to log in to the employee portal despite being formally authorised to do so, please contact the IT advisors of your faculty or institution or the BITS Service Desk.

Are you a temporary lecturer or a long-term visiting professor at a faculty or institution of Bielefeld University?
If so, then you do not automatically have access to the employee portal. Please contact the IT advisors of your faculty or institution or the BITS Service Desk.
