The Collaborative Robotics group at Bielefeld University and the Cognitive Automation group at Fraunhofer IOSB-INA in Lemgo, led by Prof. Klaus Neumann, work closely together on projects that promote the intuitive use of collaborative robotic systems in manipulation and assembly through imitation learning. The focus is on reconfigurable and modular robots, intelligent product transport, and their neural control and regulation in safe interaction with human production participants. Special attention is given to magnetic levitation systems, which represent a new trend in industrial automation. These systems are further developed within the framework of our current research in the field of “planar robotics”.
