Wer zum Promovieren oder als wissenschaftliche*r Mitarbeiter*in neu an die Universität kommt, erfährt durch Professor*innen, Sekretariatsmitarbeiter*innen und die anderen unmittelbaren Kolleg*innen am Lehrstuhl, in der Arbeitsgruppe oder in der jeweiligen Fakultät Unterstützung. Zum Onboarding bietet auch die Reihe „Gut, zu wissen“ Veranstaltungen und Informationen zur systematischen Orientierung in der Universität.
In der Reihe „Gut, zu wissen“ bekommt Ihr (1.) Informationen, um gut in Lehre und Forschung zu starten; (2.) Informationen über die an der Universität vorhandenen Beratungsstellen und Fortbildungsprogramme; und (3.) im Rahmen von Rundgängen die Gelegenheit, unseren – auf den ersten Blick nicht allzu übersichtlichen – Campus zu erkunden. „Gut, zu wissen“ wird organisiert vom PhD and Postdoc Office der Universität Bielefeld.
Zielgruppe:
Wissenschaftler*innen, die neu an der Universität Bielefeld sind: als Promovierende oder als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter*innen (mit oder ohne Promotion)
Summer School "Risk and Uncertainty in Economics, Insurance and Finance"
The Summer School consists of three courses (each formed by 4 lectures of 90 minutes) presenting recent aspects of the modeling and treatment of uncertainty and risk in Economics, Insurance and Finance. A selected number of short presentations held by the students are also planned.
The Summer School is supported by the Center for Mathematical Economics and the CRC1283 "Taming uncertainty and profiting from randomness and low regularity in analysis, stochastics and their application".

QED Jamboree Meeting in Copenhagen
Bielefeld University is part of the network “Quantitative Economics Doctorate”. (You can find our partners here: https://www.econ.ku.dk/qed/ )This network organises an annual workshop where PhD students in economics can present their work. This year’s workshop will take place on May 26 and 27, 2023 in Copenhagen, and two students from Bielefeld can present.
