Willkommen auf der biologischen Seite des Lebens
Here you can find out everything you need to know about the departmental student representative committee, our members and committee work.
We meet once a week during the semester in the student council room (V3-142) to discuss current topics and plan activities for students.
Are you thinking about becoming active in the departmental student representative committee yourself? Then come along to one of our student council meetings without obligation and get an insight into our work! Visitors and new members are always welcome.
Do you have any problems with or questions about studying, modules or similar? Then feel free to come to our office hours in V3-142. A registration is not necessary.
Of course, we are also available to help you as best we can with any issues by emailing fachschaft@uni-bielefeld.de or biofachschaft@uni-bielefeld.de.
Don't be afraid to contact us - we are here for you and we will join forces to help!
You can find our office hours and student council meeting times on Instagram or on the info board in front of V3-142.

It was finally time again: from 2 to 6 October, we welcomed around 350 new first-year students to the Faculty of Biology, Environmental Sciences and Molecular Biology.
During the official part of the Freshers' Week, the new students were first welcomed by us and the lecturers. They then spent the next few days exploring the university in small groups, drawing up study plans and getting to know each other. There was plenty of information about the degree programme, practical courses and generally all the "official", important topics and deadlines.
In the evenings, we, the Bio student representative committee, put together a varied programme to get to know each other, the university and Bielefeld itself. From a flunkyball tournament, beer athlon and pub crawl to a city and university rally and a game of mafia, there was plenty of opportunity for the first-year students to socialise with each other and with the tutors. The Fresher's Week 2022 ended on Friday, 6 October with a joint hike through the botanical garden and Olderdissen Zoo, as befits biologists.
We would like to thank you for your active participation and good humour! We would also like to thank our generous sponsors who, among other things, provided us with well-filled first-year bags!
We would be very grateful for your feedback on the O-Week. Please let us know what you thought by sending an email to fachschaft@uni-bielefeld.de. Alternatively, you are of course welcome to visit us in person and let us know what you thought.
We look forward to the next Freshers' Days!
