Historical work and the associated theories and practices are changing under the conditions of digitality. The form and nature of these changes are core subjects of digital history studies.
As part of the lecture series of the IZMF (Salzburg), “Zwischen Codices und Codes. Innovative Perspektiven in der Mittelalter- und Frühneuzeitforschung” Silke Schwandt will deliver a talk on December 16, 2024, titled „'Having data doesn’t make you successful; knowing what to do with it, does.' On January 9th and 10th, 2025, the workshop "History & AI: Intersections of Historical Research and Artificial Intelligence" will take place in Bielefeld. The event is organized by Digital History Bielefeld and the SAIL project and includes interdisciplinary lectures and discussions.
