The O-Days of History and Visual and Art History will take place this year on Tuesday, 29 March and Wednesday, 30 March. The minor subject day will then be on Thursday 31 March.
The event will take place exclusively in presence. For participation we need a 3G certificate, which we will check before admission.
You can download the current schedule here (pdf download).
For all those who are not yet familiar with the university:
On Tuesday the events take place in the main building. You have to go to section T (labelled in the main hall) and then to the second floor (i.e. T2). From there you should be able to find the room easily. On Wednesday and Thursday, the programme takes place exclusively in the X building, which is the slightly smaller building opposite the large main building. You will then find the rooms in X-E0, which is the ground floor of the X building.
So it's actually quite simple! T2-205 means: in section T of the main university building (UHG), second floor (that's what the 2 stands for) and there in room 205. X-E0-002 means: in building X, section E, ground floor (because of the 0), room 002.
If you have any questions, please contact ssb-geschichte@uni-bielefeld.de!

This year's orientation days (or "Ersti" days) for History and Visual and Art History will take place for core subject students on Monday 4 and Tuesday 5 October. The events are designed in hybrid form: You can participate online via Zoom or you can come in person. You must register for this.
Our minor subject day is on Thursday, 7 October. This will only take place online.
You can download the schedule here (pdf).
As we only have a limited number of places in the seminar room, participation in the O-Days this semester must be organised via a registration procedure . This means that if you want to take part on site (and not just online via Zoom), you must register using the contact form below. As soon as we have analysed all registrations, we will let you know whether you can attend. The following applies: those who register first will get a place for at least one of the two days in presence. To ensure that the distribution remains fair and that as many people as possible can be present, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to register for both days. If you register for one or both days for the face-to-face event, this is binding! If you change your mind after you have registered and been allocated by us, please let us know as soon as possible (!) at ssb-geschichte@uni-bielefeld.de. The 3G rule applies. The events that do not take place in the seminar room are NOT affected by the registration procedure. So if you would like to join us there, you are welcome to do so (but here too, the 3G rule applies). If you have any questions, please contact us!
Registrations for the face-to-face event have already closed. If you have any questions, please write to us at ssb-geschichte@uni-bielefeld.de.
We look forward to seeing you!
