You can either contact the Student Council. We will treat the case confidentially in any case and talk to you about how we can proceed. You need the Latinum if you are studying to be a history teacher for grammar schools and comprehensive schools. Otherwise not!

Just come along to one of our meetings. All you have to do is join in as much as you like.

The tutorial (in connection with lecture/seminar) is compulsory for the theory and methodology module. If you take both modules, you must complete a tutorial (in connection with lecture/seminar) for each module. However, you may complete both tutorials in connection with lecture/seminar) in the same language.

(If you have completed the Latinum at university, you can have this recognised for the language tutorial).

Every semester there is a so-called orientation week (Erstiwoche) for all new students of history, as well as visual and art history. You can attend without registering. You can find more information here:

In this case, you can complain about your grade via the Ba/Ma Complaints Committee. To do this, you must write a report yourself and submit it to the committee. However, we recommend that you talk to the Student Counselling Service beforehand. Teaching staff have a lot of leeway when awarding grades. In any case, you should get in touch quickly!
