Who are we?
Welcome to the website of the Mathematical Economics departmental student representative committee at Bielefeld University!
We are an association of Mathematical Economics students who represent the interests of WiMa students and meet regularly. Our weekly student council meeting is central to this, where we discuss current topics ranging from teaching to the organisation of events. At the student council meeting, we form opinions on the respective topics, which we then represent in various university committees. These include, for example, the faculty conferences, the student advisory board and the meeting of all departmental student representative committees. In addition to representing the interests of WiMa students, we also organise various events - sometimes in cooperation with the maths departmental student representative committee, first-year student support and/or the maths faculty - such as the First Days, the summer party or our Christmas party.
We also meet up "privately" and regularly do things as a departmental student representative committee. This is because we see each other every week, which naturally leads to friendships. Also some of us are always in the same semester and have lectures together and solve exercises together. People from higher semesters are also happy to give a tip or two regarding the studies.

Then take a look at the departmental student representative committee! During the lecture period of the winter semester 25/26, we meet every Thursday at 12:30 p.m. in A4-131. Just drop by our student council room A4-131 or get in touch by e-mail or phone. Whether you're a first-year or Master's student, everyone is welcome!
