The Executive Board of the iFUn

The work of the Executive Board

An eleven-member Executive Board with an Executive Directorate has been in office since the beginning of 2019. The latter is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the iFUn. The Executive Board is made up of members from both Faculties involved. Since 2023, the Board of Directors and Executive Board have also been supported by a Managing Director. Together, they are dedicated to the following tasks in particular

  • Recruiting additional researchers to work at the institute.
  • Organising various event formats.
  • Exchange and cooperation with other research institutions
  • Maintaining contact with the donors
  • Participation in the appointment procedure

The iFUn is currently managed by the staff, people shown in the picture (from left): Prof. Dr Anne Sanders (Deputy Director), Prof. Dr Fred G. Becker (Deputy Director), and Prof. Dr Christina Hoon (Institute Chair and Managing Director).

Since 2023, Dr Jana Bövers has also supported the Board of Directors and the Executive Board as Managing Director.

It is important to us that different groups (students, non-professorial academic staff, professors, technical and administrative staff) are represented and can thus actively contribute to the work of the iFUn.
