Institute for Technological Innovation, Market Development and Entrepreneurship

The Institute for Technological Innovation, Market Development and Entrepreneurship (iTIME) is concerned with the development, production, and marketing of technological innovations, the corresponding evolution of markets and industries, and entrepreneurial issues.

Its current research focus lies on economic implications of smart solutions, which has been broadened from our earlier focus on smart products and service and now also includes issues arising from applying artificial intelligence in various respects. To this end, iTIME cooperates with the Cluster of Excellence on Cognitive Interaction Technology (CITEC) and the working group concerned with the Law of Intelligent Technical Systems (RIT).

The institute organizes an (annual) "International Conference on Challenges in Managing Smart Products and Services" (CHIMSPAS: Website, Video).
