Applications for talks can be submitted either as a themed or an open submission. Themed submission means that you will apply directly for a symposium that matches the scope of your topic. The organisers of the symposium will then evaluate all applications and choose a speaker panel. If your research topic doesn’t fit with any of the announced symposia, there is also an option for open submission.
Please indicate if you are applying to themed or open submission when submitting your abstract. If you’d like to apply to a themed symposium but would also like to be considered for open submission, indicate this by choosing the option “both”. In case there are more applications than speaker slots for a symposium, there may be an open slot available for you elsewhere. For those choosing open submission, please indicate your field of research by selecting one of the topics from the drop-down menu on the registration platform that best matches your talk.
Poster abstracts can only be submitted under open submissions. Please choose a corresponding topic so that we can assign it to researchers within the field.
Details about the abstract submission process will be available on our platform once registration is open (which is currently planned for February). Don’t miss out on any news or deadlines by signing up for our newsletter or following us on twitter @2023behaviour.
So, grab that thinking cap, get creative and start preparing your abstract! We cannot wait to hear about your fascinating research and meet you in Bielefeld this August.
