In fact, we are in the heart of Eastern Westphalia, just around the corner from Hannover, Dortmund, Cologne and the Netherlands. While enjoying life in the green, we feel very Euro-central and well connected to a number of international airports (DTM - 80 min away by train, HAJ - 90 min, DUS, PAD - 2 h, CGN, HAM, TXL - 3h by train, SXF, FRA - 3.5 h, AMS ~ 4 h).

In the uncertain pandemic situation worldwide there is potential for any country to impose restrictions and even lock downs rather spontaneously.

Thus, we advise you to be certified vaccinated or covid-recovered (termed 2G in Germany) before travelling to Germany. A negative Covid19 test currently is acknowledged in Germany as equivalent to the former two options within the "3G rules". It is well possible that in March 2022 only 2G rules are accepted.

Additionally, in order to diminish risks by spontaneously annouced lockdowns preventing travel, we strongly advise you to have travel insurance covering your flight bookings and if necessary accomodation bookings.

The event will be hosted in the main building at the university campus. The university is 10 min from the city centre the tram line Nr 4, direction "Lohmanshof". The university is a functional and still growing monument of brutalism, located in the western part of the city. It includes lecture halls and workshop rooms, restaurants, shops, sport facilities and most other ingredients, which are needed for a joyful conference.

The main programme of the conference will take place in the main university building.

Lunch breaks will take place in the University Canteen in Building X, just opposite the main university building. Lunches are included in the Registration fee and will be automatically accounted for as long as you have your Conference Participant Badge, available and visible. You will have a choice between multiple menu opitions and a variable buffet, which together cover all common dietary diversity.

The conference dinner will take place from 18:00 of Wednesday, 16.09.2020 in the Sparrenburg Restaurant (Am Sparrenberg 38 a, 33602 Bielefeld). The dinner will be organised on a buffet principle with suffiecient vegetarian options.
