Opening Hours

Reduced opening hours of the Bielefeld University Library

Monday to Friday 9.00 to 16.00
Public Holidays, Saturday & Sunday: closed

For the time being the University Library will be open for absolutely necessary loans and returns in connection with examinations only. The workstations in the library can not be used at the moment.

Only the main library entrances D1 and U1 in the main university building and the library entrance in building X are open. The ZiF ​Library (Centre for Interdisciplinary Research) is closed.

Each time you enter the library, your valid personal library card (UniCard or barcode card) must be scanned independently at the automatic self-registration machine provided for this purpose. If no valid personal library card can be presented, a registration form must be filled out.

In the library the wearing of mouth-nose cover is obligatory for all persons. The obligation to wear a mask applies on all traffic routes and at all workplaces. In principle, a minimum distance of 1.50 m must be maintained between persons.
