At its five locations on campus, the University Library offers a wide range of opportunities for learning and working or simply for lingering. With their design and equipment, the approximately 2000 workstations support very different forms of learning and working methods. Concentrated self-study is just as possible as collaborative learning or communicative group work. There are also opportunities for undisturbed participation in digital courses or for relaxing and taking a break. Most of the workstations can be used spontaneously, but some of them can be booked. Here you will find an overview of the different learning and working spaces in the library.

In addition to the equipment, the learning atmosphere is an important aspect when choosing the right place to study and work. In order to meet different needs, from concentration in silence to discussion and lively dialogue in groups, and to avoid mutual disturbance, we differentiate between three areas in the library:

Talking is not permitted in the quiet area, smartphones should be set to "silent" to allow concentrated work.

Talking is permitted in quiet areas with mutual consideration, smartphones should be set to vibrate.

In the Learning Spaces and Recreational Opportunities portal, you can use various filters to search for a suitable place to work - in the library or elsewhere at the university. The entries on the working options in the library offer you a visual insight as well as detailed information on the equipment and possible uses of the rooms and workstations and where exactly they are located. If a booking is planned, you can make it directly via the "Book now" button.
