An Introduction to Web of Science (Life Sciences, Natural Sciences)

Web of Science is a widely used interdisciplinary literature database with several different functions for sorting, filtering and analysing the literature one has found. In this training, basic functions (such as standard search, advanced search, filtering and sorting options) of Web of Science will be presented. Furthermore, general literature search tips (search matrix, evaluation of search results) will be taught.

This course is offered in German in the winter semester and in English in the summer semester.

Recommended prior knowledge No prior knowledge of Web of Science is required.

Target Group Primary target group: Students who will soon be writing a thesis or who are simply interested in literature searches using Web of Science.
Researchers who are not yet familiar with Web of Science or who want to refresh their knowledge are also welcome to attend.
