Content

Students often search for literature for seminar papers on the Internet. However, filtering out the information that is scientifically relevant and citable from the wealth of information found is often tedious. It is easier and more effective to search for literature in subject literature databases - only scientific literature is listed there, indexed in detail with keywords and abstracts, and made findable via both formal and content-related aspects.
The event is organised as a workshop. In the first 30 minutes, the most important sociological databases will be presented in brief. In the following 60 minutes, you will then have the opportunity to search literature on your term paper topic independently, accompanied and supported by our team, who will help you overcome any hurdles with tips and assistance.

A prerequisite for participation is that you have a topic in mind on which you would like to search literature. It would also be good if you could name the various aspects of the topic and have given some thought to alternative formulations. Which databases are suitable for which questions and how to skilfully approach complex research issues will then be dealt with during the course.
