The research project „The Genesis of Populist Dispositions in Youth Milieus ”focuses on the question of how the next generations of voters and political actors perceive the manifold political, economic and social crises in Europe. The study will provide data on the dispositions of children and young people which are particularly relevant to lived democracy: Attitudes towards democracy, the tendency towards discrimination, the degree of tolerance towards cultural diversity, and expectations for their own and society's future. These dimensions must be considered multidimensionally. Their analysis includes crisis phenomena, their semantic and symbolic construction as well as mental representation on an individual level. The individual level also includes how crises and representations of crises shape the everyday life of the subjects and into which world interpretations they are integrated.
