short biography
Victoria S. Boettcher completed her Bachelor’s degree Psychology at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands in 2014. Victoria S. Boettcher finished her Master’s degree at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. Her thesis “The Relation of Childhood Neglect with Mental Health and Cognitive Functioning – A Cross-Sectional Study of Primary School Children Living in Tanzania” focused on the topic of childhood maltreatment.
During her studies Victoria S. Boettcher worked as a student assistant at different chairs in the field of clinical psychology. Victoria S. Boettcher did internships at the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) Munich in Germany as well as at the chair for Psychopathology and Clinical Intervention at the University of Zurich, Switzerland.
In October 2016 Victoria S. Boettcher joined the graduate school “FlüGe” to do her doctorate’s degree on the topic of mental health of refugees who have been allocated to Germany.
