Jan-Philipp Töberg

Jan-Philipp Töberg studied Computer Engineering (B.Sc.) at the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Lemgo, and Computer Science (M.Sc.) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). During his master, he specialised on Software Engineering, Formal Systems and Computer Graphics. After finishing his thesis working on the modelling and implementation of access control for smart contract systems, he joined the Semantic Computing Group in June 2022.

In his research, Jan-Philipp focuses on the acquisition and representation of knowledge for cognitive robots. His interest focuses on common sense and task-specific knowledge relevant for manipulation tasks in household environments and how knowledge graphs and language models can be employed to support robots in their plan generation.
