Karolina Czok received a B.A. in Quantitative Methods in Economics and Information Systems from the Warsaw School of Economics, including a visiting semester at the University of Queensland, Australia, and an M.Sc. in Cognitive Science from the University of Warsaw. During her master’s studies, she worked on identifying and mitigating gender bias in NLP models for the Polish language.
After completing her studies, she worked as a Conversational AI Development Specialist at Orange Poland, improving the performance of voice and chatbots using NLP techniques and later as a Machine Learning Engineer at Orange Slovakia, where she researched LLM applications for domain-specific and low-resource languages and developed an information extraction tool based on LLMs.
In July 2025, she joined the Semantic Computing Group as a Doctoral Researcher. Her work within the project "LLM4KMU" focuses on improving model robustness and adaptation methods for information extraction in the biomedical domain. She is also actively involved in the project "Question Answering from Healthcare Fora".
