The Career Service at Bielefeld University is a central advisory service for questions relating to career orientation and career planning:

We identify individual paths and action strategies for independent career planning.
We work closely with other advisory services and faculties.
We develop innovative event formats so that students, doctoral candidates, postdocs and employers can get to know each other.

Career planning is a step-by-step development and clarification process that requires individual strategies. Based on a strength- and resource-oriented approach, we support you in developing professional perspectives independently.

Depending on your needs, we accompany you throughout the entire process or with individual steps. Contact us via Career Service Portal or Mail.
Plan A or Plan B: We support doctoral candidates and postdocs in entering Germany’s non-academic job market.
Here you can find workshops and networking events on topics such as planning your career, applying for jobs, how to find a job and getting in touch with employers. Feel free to contact us if you would like to clarify whether an event is the right fit for you.
