Bielefeld University's approach to the energy crisis
On February 24, 2022, Russia attacked Ukraine in violation of international law. The consequences of this war are also clearly felt in Germany: In particular, the gas shortage is having a massive impact on the energy available. With a view to ensuring security of supply for private households in the upcoming winter, the German government and the European Union have adopted measures to save energy in all areas. This also applies to Bielefeld University, which has now initiated far-reaching measures to save energy. There are to be no restrictions on research and teaching in the process.
