Writing Retreat

Carving out time for writing publications or grant proposals can be tricky – and once you do sit down to write, finding a productive approach can be even more challenging.

GrACe and the ZLL-Writing Centre are here to support you! At our Writing Retreat, you will find both: quiet time for focused work and short impulses to try new methods or reflect on your personal path to productivity. Of course, you will also have the opportunity to connect with other researchers. We’ll do our best to tailor the programme to the group’s needs, so make sure to fill in the short questionnaire we’ll send you after your registration.

You can also book individual sessions with a writing consultant during the retreat.

All you need to bring is your current writing project such as publication, grant proposal or habilitation and your usual writing equipment. If you need any support or accommodations to participate, please let us know at registration.

The retreat is open to Early Career Researchers who have completed their doctorate, i.e. any researcher at Bielefeld University with a PhD but without a professorship or Academic Tenure.   

 

Places are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis. 

The Retreat is free of charge. Please note that we do not offer overnight accommodation.

Due to high demand, we are offering two separate retreats, each of them 2 days long. Please let us know which is your preferred date but also let us know whether the one would work for you, too.
