Trainer: Dr. Andrea Talabér (Commissioning Editor at CEU Press)
Academic publishing can often seem like a daunting process for first-time authors, as well as for more seasoned scholars. This How to Publish workshop aims to clearly demystify the process and to clearly explain each step from book proposal to first monograph.
Andrea Talabér is a commissioning editor in the humanities and social sciences at CEU Press. Prior to joining CEU Press she completed a PhD in history at the European University Institute and held several post-doctoral fellowships. As a commissioning editor she welcomes proposals on a wide-range of topics from medieval and early modern studies, the social and cultural history of 19th- and 20th-century Central Europe and the post-Communist period. Andrea also welcomes proposals with a geographic focus on Central Asia, Eurasia and the Caucasus. She is also the Managing Editor of the CEU Review of Books.
This workshop is jointly organised by the GrACe and the Public History Unit at Bielefeld University.
