Digging up diamonds: a practical approach to writing better scientific papers

This hands-on workshop connects theoretical insights from communication science and writing research with a pragmatic approach to writing scientific papers. We combine the powers of deadlines, focus, and questions to get some writing done. You get to know and directly apply a structured approach that gives your more control over your writing - from first idea to finished text.
At the end of the day, you have
- experimented with strategies to get (back) into the writing process;• put a structured writing process model into action;
- drafted, organised, and revised your own text in several rounds;
- a clear idea about your next writing steps.
The Workshop will be held in English.
Trainer:
Dr. Vera Leberecht (Maastricht/NL) studied Linguistics, Intercultural Communication and Theology in Germany and Finland. She worked at Maastricht University Language Centre for several years before starting her own training and consulting business in 2008. She is enthusiastic about empowering professionals to communicate with reason and resonance, in academia and beyond.
