"Lunch and Learn" - Getting a clear picture: Re-prioritising

Speaker: Ulf Kirse, Counselling centre for employees and managers

Date

19.11.2026, 12:00-13:00, online

Module description

The responsibilities of a professor, project leader or managing director in the academic sector are becoming increasingly complex. Alongside research, teaching and leadership, personal commitments, as well as the desire for relaxation and personal development, demand attention. At the same time, structural changes such as consolidation and refocusing require a constant rethinking of one’s daily work routine. How can one manage to keep on top of things under these circumstances and allocate one’s time, energy and attention in a targeted manner?

This one-hour online keynote talk explores methods for reflecting on one’s own situation in a structured way, consciously setting priorities and focusing on what really matters. The focus is on how to use existing resources effectively and make decisions more easily when faced with a range of competing demands.

Good to know: If required, individual appointments can be arranged afterwards with the counselling service for staff and managers to explore the topics in more depth within a personal context.
