"Lunch and Learn" - What to do when a project is in crisis?

Speaker: Ulf Kirse, Counselling centre for employees and managers

Date

28.11.2024, 12:00-13:30, online

Module description

As a professor, project manager and / or managing director in the scientific sector, managing scientific projects is part of your everyday working life.

It is not rare for difficulties to arise in the course of such projects, which can cause crisis-like situations in project teams. Such phases in turn often mean increased (psychological) stress for all those involved and therefore increase the risk of a project failing. Dealing constructively with difficult project phases is therefore of central importance, both to keep employees healthy and motivated and to lead the project to success. But what to do when a crisis arises?

The 1.5-hour online impulse lecture including discussion shows ways in which some typical crises can be recognised and defused. Topics include conflicts within the team and how to deal with milestones that have not been reached and thus jeopardising overall planning.

If required, individual appointments can then be arranged with the counselling centre for employees and managers to discuss these topics in greater depth.
