17th cross-university modular training programme for female professors to develop and expand their own leadership portfolio
Start: 24th October 2025, presence at Bielefeld University
As part of the 17th cross-university modular "Leadership in Science" training course 2025/26, female professors will be given the opportunity to professionalise as academic leaders against the backdrop of innovative, sustainable, gender- and diversity-sensitive leadership concepts. The training programme focuses on concepts and practices of sustainable, gender-equitable and diversity-sensitive leadership that are suitable for everyday use, the clarification of central positioning and career planning issues and cross-university networking with colleagues who want to act in a focused manner in the academic leadership context in research, teaching and management.
The professionalisation of one's own leadership practice creates space for new ideas and allows participants to (re)find the peace and strength to concentrate on the essentials and the resulting creative joy: This enables participants to reflect on their own self-image and their own (leadership) goals in the system and organisation, and to take an in-depth and at the same time pragmatic look at their own leadership practice. This includes central questions and challenges of resource-orientated self- and employee leadership, visibility strategies and possibilities for conflict prevention and resolution.
Concept of the training programme
Projectduration: 10 months
Target group: (newly appointed) female professors and junior professors in or after interim evaluation who are employed at a university or university of applied sciences

The re-enrolment of the participants will be integrated into the content and organisation of the training series in the course of its history.
