The Writing Advisory Service offers process-oriented advice and workshops on writing for doctoral students and postdocs as well as didactic advice and training for teaching staff, instructors, lectures.

The Department of Research Funding and Trasfer offers you support and individual advice on the selection of a suitable funding format as well as the preparation and processing of your first third-party funding applications.

The Competence Centre for Research Data offers you individual advice, training and a wide range of services and tools to make it easier for you to handle your research data. It also advises on Data protection, long-term preservation and publication of your research data.

The Statistical Advisory Centre - StatBeCe - provides research-relevant statistical advice. It offers individual statistical advice and support specifically tailored to doctoral students in planning the project, implementing data collection and statistical procedures and methods.

Do you have an idea or want to develop a concrete business model? Do you want to try out a start-up in a protected setting and get to know entrepreneurship as a doctoral student? The train is the contact point for all those interested in founding a company at Bielefeld University.

Reconciling studies and career with family is of outstanding importance to Bielefeld University. It has been certified as a "family-friendly university" since 2006. The Family Service advises all university members on family-related issues such as doing a doctorate with a child, daycare places, reconciling family and career.

The Counselling Centre for Staff and Managers offers confidential support in the event of problems at the workplace and personal (psychological) stress situations. It supports working groups and teams in overcoming breakdowns in cooperation and conflicts and advises doctoral students and postdocs on issues in the context of supervision relationships.

As persons of trust, the ombudspersons advise those who inform them of suspected scientific misconduct.

The ZSB offers psychological and psychosocial counselling for all doctoral students for challenges related to the promtoins as well as all personal and private challenges.

The ZAB is the central point of contact for all issues relating to accessibility and the active participation of people with disabilities or chronic illnesses at Bielefeld University.

New in Bielefeld? As part of the International Office, the Welcome Centre helps new members and guests of the University to find their way around the University and the city of Bielefeld and the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region.

The International Office is the contact point for all doctoral students and postdocs who are planning a stay abroad and provides advice on everything to do with internationalisation.

Motivated, satisfied and high-performing students and employees are the university's most important resource. Maintaining and promoting this most important resource is the task of health management.

The AGUS staff unit advises and supports the implementation of and compliance with the legal regulations on occupational safety and health, the handling of hazardous substances, the assessment of working conditions, the prevention of accidents, and the performance of risk assessments.

The aim of crisis management is to take precautions to protect the life and health of people who are on the university campus and to avoid dangers to the environment. In situations of aggravated and time-critical emergencies, you can contact the crisis management.

In the psychotherapy outpatient clinic, diagnostics and psychotherapy for adults are offered for the purpose of research and teaching. Here, university members can seek low-threshold psychotherapeutic support.

The Staff Council for Academic and Artistic Staff is the elected body representing the interests of all academic staff and advises on issues such as employment law, teaching obligations, various types of fixed-term contracts and working conditions.
