Bielefeld University introduced a current research information system (CRIS) in April 2023. A CRIS is a database with a continuously updated, comprehensive directory of the researchers and research activities of a research institution. The aim of this bundling of data is in particular to make research achievements more visible through the comprehensive, context-related presentation of research activities and to provide data in accordance with the specification of the core data set for research.
Researchers are to be relieved of their documentation activities and receive support in the external presentation of their scientific expertise. The CRIS portal will provide Bielefeld University with a consistent presentation of the research work carried out at the location.
