The invention of new technology is of great importance to science. This is what makes legal protection against unauthorized use by third parties in the form of a patent (national or even international) important.
This webinar offers a brief, general introduction to the major kinds of intellectual property rights and compares them to one another. It then shifts focus to patents and the patenting process. The requirements an invention must meet in order to be patented is regulated by law.
Machines, compounds, and processes can be patented as long as they meet all necessary requirements, with the decisive criteria being novelty, inventive step, technicality, in-dustrial applicability, and reproducibility.
This webinar introduces attendees to these basic require-ments of patentability along with the limits of patent protection. It also discusses the basics of the patent application pro-cess and how a patent is structured.
Questions regarding the content of the seminar may be addressed during the seminar via chat. The seminar will be concluded by a short discussion of the seminar topics.
