The realization of equal opportunities is one of the most important strategic goals of the Rectorate and is specified in the current equal opportunities concept of Bielefeld University.
The Equal Opportunities Office (Büro der Gleichstellungsbeauftragten) answers all questions concerning equal opportunities for women and men. It understands equal opportunities as a cross-sectional task that applies to each institution at the university.

The Disabled Persons’ Representation (Schwerbehindertenvertretung — SBV) of Bielefeld University represents the interests of severely disabled members of Bielefeld University and answers all related questions.
