The BGHS

The BGHS organises and coordinates the structured doctoral programme of the Department of History and the Faculty of Sociology at the Bielefeld University. Doctoral researchers at the BGHS come from all over the world and conduct research on all topics that can be supervised by the participating professors. This enables an interdisciplinary and international scientific exchange within the framework of the study programme. At the same time, the BGHS encourages and validates the individual activities of the doctoral students as academic outcomes.
