On Wednesday 24th January, the Sustainable Science Café will focus on questions such as what sustainable research at Bielefeld University can look like and how sustainable research initiatives can be better networked. Dr Katharina Weiß, Manager of Scientific Data Services and Managing Director of the Bielefeld Centre for Data Science (BiCDaS), will also participate and present the concept of a possible BiCDaS Sustainability and Climate Change DataLab. BiCDaS DataLabs are formats that facilitate the exchange and sharing of expertise on data-related topics. The Sustainable Science Café will start on Wednesday at 16:00 in room X-B2-103. We are pleased to have Prof. Dr.-Ing. Anna-Lisa Vollmer from the OWL Medical School as a member of the BiCDaS team.
It was founded to pool research and teaching activities related to Data Science throughout and beyond Bielefeld University. It serves as a focal point for academics who enjoy exchange regarding new challenges, ideas, and solutions in the field of data science.
At BiCDaS, Data Science is considered an interdisciplinary field of knowledge and a holistic approach to a phenomenon pervading science: the increasing ubiquity of data.
