In our workshop ‘Graphic Design Is My Passion’, participants will be introduced to the software’s basic functions and tools. In our 3D printing workshop for beginners, we teach the basics of 3D printing in a practical setting.
Participants will familiarise themselves with the technical components of a 3D printer and learn about the 3D printing process. The course also includes an introduction to modelling 3D objects using user-friendly software. In the practical part of the workshop, participants will create their very first model, which will then be printed.

Workshop: Designing and embroidering your own patches
In the workshop ‘From Prompting to Embroidery’, students will combine artificial intelligence with embroidery. Using AI tools, they will create a design intended to reflect what they associate with Bielefeld University. The design is then converted into a patch using embroidery software and embroidered. The aim of the workshop is to provide an introduction to digital textile embroidery, whilst also exploring the possibilities and limitations of designing with AI tools.

In ourkeynote presentation, we’ll share insights from the perspective of a central IT and media services unit (BITS) that supports teaching staff and students in planning and implementing creative media projects. Drawing on concrete practical experience, we will demonstrate that
AI-generated ideas often appear convincing and coherent, yet are frequently generic and stylistically uniform.
