BITS SPACE Information

Multi-colour 3D printing

At BITS SPACE Make, 3D printers and an embroidery machine are available for media projects. We provide support with digital fabrication and supply the necessary software for modelling and preparing digital models, as well as for scanning real-world objects (e.g. for virtual reality). A range of printing techniques can be explored for creating everything from simple models to highly detailed objects.
In addition to 3D printing, we also offer the option of producing textile versions of digital design objects. Users can thus explore every stage of the production process – from the initial idea through the designed graphic file to the embroidered object – and relate each step to their own project or event. The focus is on the further processing of graphics and images using specialised software, a process that is deepened through trial and error.

The room is equipped with several 3D printers, an embroidery machine and a creative workstation for advanced media editing.

3D printers

  • 2x Bambu Lab X1E 3D printers with AMS (4-colour printing)
  • Prusa MK4 3D printer
  • Prusa i3 MK3S 3D printer
  • Various filament colours (mainly PLA)

Embroidery machine

  • Brother PR670E embroidery machine with 6-needle embroidery system (on wheels)
  • Various embroidery hoops for different fabric sizes and types
  • Threads in many different colours

Creative workstation

  • High-end PC with creative software
  • 2x 4K monitors
  • Office chair with auto-lift mechanism for easy adjustment
