The room is generally available for use from Monday to Friday between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm. Advance booking is required.

Various VR apps

At BITS SPACE XR, immersive settings can be tested for a wide variety of projects. For example, any location or object can be rendered and explored in Virtual Reality (VR). In Augmented Reality (AR), the real world is supplemented by the projection of digital objects and elements, thereby enabling an enhanced perception of reality. The aim of game-based learning and serious games is to combine gaming and learning opportunities.

At BITS SPACE XR, we offer the following services:

  • Using VR in courses
  • Creative workstations for high-end media production

Facilities

Immersive Virtual Reality

The room is equipped with several VR headsets, storage and cleaning cupboards, a VR CatWalk and two creative workstations for demanding projects.

VR/AR

  • 19x Meta Quest 3 VR headsets, including controllers and spare batteries
  • Apple Vision Pro AR headset
  • KAT VR Walk C with shoes for various sizes (36, 39, 40, 41, 42, 44)
  • Transport cabinet for approx. 12 Meta Quest 3 headsets, including charging option
  • Portable UV-C sanitising cabinet for approx. 6 Meta Quest 3 headsets

2x Creative workstations, each with

  • a high-end PC with creative software and the Unity game engine
  • 4K curved monitor
  • Office chair with auto-lift mechanism for easy adjustment
